Maybe it was the Hall and Oats. Maybe it was the chocolate chip cookies and glass bottle sodas before the ceremony. Maybe it was Darcey and Michael’s sweet dog Matson, or the fact that the weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor spring wedding. Whatever the reason, pretty much every single person in every single photo taken from this entire wedding has the biggest smile on their face. I can’t begin to tell you how fun this wedding was from start to finish but hopefully these photos tell the story of Darcey & Michael’s perfect day.
Hampton Roads has several charming venues that provide a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony, but none more picturesque than the Hermitage Museum in Norfolk. After the lovebirds said their vows the party moved to the Norfolk Waterside Marriott where superstar DJ Roger Cruz of Astro Entertainment ran the entire gamut of what reception music should be. I’m talking Toto to Timberlake…awesome job Roger! Not only was grandpa sweeping ladies off their feet all night, but I was able to capture a guest mid air doing the worm as well as Michael’s best air guitar solo for Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”. If you look close enough you may even spot me getting my wobble on with Darcey, Michael, Ryan from the Marriott and Pari from Astro DJs. Congrats Darcey & Michael I have really enjoyed becoming friends with you both and will see you soon for beers at O’conners !
