Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer | Candace & Scott | Married

Its funny how life works sometimes. Nine years ago I was fortunate enough to photograph the Peace Frogs clothing company’s national catalog. We shot  lifestyle photos in Virginia Beach and studio sessions in Downtown Norfolk. We worked with 5 models, mostly teenage or in their early 20’s. The catalog was a success and a great marketing piece for my portfolio which lead me to several more commercial photography jobs. Flash forward to summer 2014 when I receive  a wedding inquiry and eventually a booking from a couple that lives in DC named Candace & Scott. It wasn’t until they came to my studio a month before the wedding to chat wedding details that I realized this was young Candace from the Peace Frogs shoot so many years ago!!

Candace & Scott are one of the sweetest couples I have ever photographed and their Zen inspired wedding at the Oceanaire Luxury Resort at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront was such a fun afternoon. I mean come on now, the bride gave her bridesmaids bags with the “I woke up like this” mugs and airplane bottles of Jameson to start the day. How cool is that?

Even though mother nature didn’t allow the sun deck ceremony as planned, they didn’t miss a beat with the cozy firepit ceremony and the ceremonial jumping of the broom. After some bridal party photo fun DJ Rodney Watzlavick from Astro DJs held it down for the reception. Great job Rodney your the man! The perfect afternoon ran smoothly thanks to Malissa Murphy owner of CMT Planning and Dawn Roberson the catering manager at the Oceanaire.

Congrats Candace and Scott I loved working with you (again:)and I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness!
