Richmond Virginia Wedding Photographer | Carla + Jon | Engaged |

Last month I met up with Carla and Jon in Richmond for their engagement session.  The settings we chose were amazing and we got some really awesome pictures! The happy couple will be married in May and I am very excited for their wedding!   The two will be married at the Country Villa Inn in Virginia Beach with the reception at the Westin Town Center also in Virginia Beach.

Here is there Q & A the did for me… They are a really awesome couple! (Anyone who references Heavy D and chicken wings is pretty cool in my book). Looking forward to working with the two of you again!

How did you meet?
C– We were high school sweethearts. He was a basketball player and I was a cheerleader. (gag!) We went to the same middle school and rode the same cheese bus together but I had no idea who he was until I had noticed him in his leather jacket at a basketball game. He
looked baaaad and I liked it. lol. I would catch him looking at me while I cheered on the sidelines. Then one day, one of my cheer-mates asked him who he liked. (I was not aware of this! She was actually asking for ANOTHER girl in the cheer team… -__- lol) anyway, he
told her “that short hawaiian girl” (im filipino lol) She came up to me and asked me if i would give him my number…so I did. So he never actually came up to me and asked me for my number, CHICKEN!…I did not expect him to call that night, but he did (What happened to
the rule of waiting a few days to call?)…and the rest is history…
J-Carla and I met in high school, she was a cheerleader and I played on the basketball team. One night after a game, a girl that cheered with Carla came up to me and asked “who do you like?”, so I went ahead and told her “that short Hawaiian girl that cheers with you”. A few
minutes after telling her that and unknown to me, she came back to me with Carla’s phone number. I called her that night and the rest is history!!

Whats your favorite dance move/song for receptions?
C– Favorite dance move would have to be the Pop, lock and drop it!…JK. IDK!!! Favorite song for reception is “I gotta feeling” by black eyed peas…because our wedding is going to be a damn good night!
J– Have to go with “Now that we found love” By Heavy D and The Boyz

Guilty pleasure? (You know you have one)
C– I have lots of different guilty pleasures…chicken wings dipped in ranch served with celery. I always feel bad eating it but its sooo good. lol.
J– Eating a bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with honey for a midnight snack!!!!

Favorite Pandora station?
C– I have different ones for my moods…Sublime, Jay-Z, Jason Mraz, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Elle Varner
J– Can’t go wrong with “lose yourself” pandora station, especially while at the gym–always gets me PUMPED

Better pastime… People watching or Starting trouble
C– Starting trouble…duh!
J– Trouble always seems to find me!! lol

Worst CD you ever bought?
C– Some stupid rap mixtape by a local artist in high school. Worst way to waste my $6!
J– It would have to be the space jam soundtrack

Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts?
C-Starbucks for their lattes, dunkin for their brewed coffees!
J– Starbucks all the wayyyyyyy

Three Random things about me are…
C– I like warm milk, I have a tattoo of the world from far, far away on my left knee lol (long story), I’ve been to Beijing, China and climbed the Great Wall of China. Real chinese food is very different from American chinese food.
J– Three random things about me are my birthday is on Cinco de Mayo, I can juggle, and I spent one night in Hong Kong by myself.

The best ever movie line is…
J-“Say hello to my little friend”–Scarface
C-The Hangover – “Remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except for Herpes, that shit will come back with you.”  Alan: “Rain man did it and he was a rah-tard.”…”a what!” “a ruh-tard”…..”do you mean retard?” LOL

The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you was…
J– When I was about 9 years old, I broke my wrist right before I left for vacation. The doctor that I was seeing gave me a waterproof cast so I could still try to enjoy my vacation at the beach with my family. There was a very odd odor around me at all times and didn’t realize
that it was cast that was stinky, we just thought it was the material that smelled like that. When I returned, I went to the doctors and when they removed the cast, there was a minnow that had died in between the cast and my arm while I was at the beach.
